Pollygone is first and foremost a "One Man Band". The aim of this website is to showcase my portfolio of work. The website itself is in total designed and maintained by myself, and its in a large way a representation of what I have to offer should you be interested in acquiring my services.

I am by no means the best in my field, but I always face new challenges with excitement, enthusiasm and persistence.

My preference is PHP/MySql combined with CSS and Xhtml. I don't see SEO (search engine optimization) as a separate entity to good solid coding and accurate design principles.

I am making some stunning and exciting inroads into the realm of CMS (Content Management Systems). Being a one man band , and operating only after hours and on weekends, means I cant offer quality service to demanding big corporate sites, however small to medium business is right up my alley.

I charge R250.00 per hour, but normally only bill for about half the time spent on a project to ensure that my product stays obtainable to the small business sector. I also charge a standard non refundable deposit before proceeding with a brief.

Lastly I also only work on one project at a time, to ensure quality, and total focus on each and every project.

First come first serve, so contacting me is essential. I understand that these are not in line with commercial procedures, and I'm very upfront about the latter as I STRESS: All work and communication is done after hours.

Whats New At Pollygone

I am currently burning the midnight oil designing and programming a CMS (content management system) I am making great progress with the project and I enjoy all the hurdles that I encounter. Sometimes I hit a brick wall, but thats all part of the fun. When you figure it out, you dance. So far, my "user" can update edit and delete their navigation menu and content fields. I have managed to create an image upload feature, but I'm not very happy with it at the moment. I want to create an application that has customisable stylesheets, with all the bells and whistles a website should have like guestbooks, contact forms, straw polls, shopping carts etc.
